High Desert Hydrotherapy Ribbon Cutting

Attendees braved wintry roads to see the Bend Chamber's ribbon cutting ceremony for High Desert Hydrotherapy in December. Located downtown, High Desert Hydrotherapy specializes in colon hydrotherapy, body contouring, full body detox wraps and more. Guests enjoyed a tour by owner Camilla Drabeck, a full spread of appetizers and champagne, and door prizes.

Bank of the Cascades Bend Fall Festival

Bend Open Streets

Bend Open Streets, a Commute Options event, shut down more than two miles of midtown streets from noon to 4 p.m. on September 18. Almost 3,000 people took advantage of the closed route, complete with food, games, and live music. 

Sisters Folk Festival

Thousands of fans came out June 7 - 10 to watch professional cowboys compete in the 77th Annual Sisters Rodeo. People were treated to four days of bronc riding, steer roping, and a visit from the rodeo queen.

Careaoke For The Cure

Teams of six children rafted, biked, ran an obstacle course, and sprinted at the Les Schwab Amphitheater May 22. This kid’s version of the popular Pole Pedal Paddle raises money for the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation. 

Trailer 31 at Old Stone Church

Bend’s westside development NorthWest Crossing celebrated the changing of the seasons with their Bend Spring Festival. The 2016 Polar Plunge

Held at Riverbend Park in Bend, the 2016 Polar Plunge saw hundreds of brave participants jump into the chilly Deschutes River to support Special Olympics Oregon and Oregon Law Enforcement. Special Olympics Oregon provides year-round athletic training and competition in Olympic-type sports for people with intellectual disabilities.
